Sharon Carter’s roots run deep here in District 90. After graduating from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in 1988, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and began a 19 year career teaching at various elementary schools in the Lowcountry.

She has been married to her husband, Mark, for 33 years. She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Like many families in District 90, they had to raise their children elsewhere to secure high paying jobs....
